Comparing Database Records
The DBS Record Viewer option displays a side-by-side comparison of the selected database record in the primary and replicated services.
Note: The ReplValidator utility is only available to compare DBS-type services (ACS, APPS, AUD, BSS, DDS, ELS, ELSALM, FAC, GNS, GRP, MSS, NOTE, PNT, TRS, and VHS). See the note about validating the VHS.
To View DBS Records for a Service Pair
- Highlight the record in which you are interested in the lower pane of the utility’s main screen.
- Select Tools > DBS Record Viewer or click
(DBS Record Viewer) on the toolbar to open the View Primary/Repl Record dialog box. - The selected record will appear in the title bar of the DBS Record Viewer.
- Click Refresh to display the primary and replicated values for the record.
- Scroll down to compare any inconsistencies in the two records. Ideally, the records should be identical.
- Click Close to exit the View Primary/Repl Record dialog box.
